Great success for the Merrychase horses this summer.
Carlingford Fred and Carol just won the half bred Irish hunter class
at the famous upperville horse show.
Carribruaha (Bobbie) and Carol had 4 clear rounds at the Loudoun Benefit
horse show and ended up 1st and 2nd and took home Reserve Champion.
Just A Minute (Mini) and Anthea Greene were reserve champions at the
Foxchase farm jumper show in the children adult jumpers.
The Old Dominion ride just had their second endurance ride at Orkney
Springs, Virginia. It was a huge success and entries were up. Gus
was again trail master again and it all went off very well. A great
weekend was had by all.

Other News
Vicki and Stephen are here and hunting 3 days a week. They also finished
the Orange County hunter pace and just had the best time.
Carol continues to have great success with Carribruaha (Bobbie) with
3 clear rounds at the famous Upperville Horse Show, training with
Joe Fargis and Kim Keppick. The pair had a great summer. They also
won the the ridden Irish half breed class at Upperville in 2007 and
placed second in the in hand class. So there were lots of celebrations.
Tank and Delilah
Gus was trial
master for the New Old Dominion ride. Its new location is Orkney
Springs, Virginia, 5 minutes from the Bryce resort. Gus put together
a 100 mile trail, which was a great success. They ran a 100-mile,
50-mile and 25-mile endurance ride in June. A great weekend was
had by all.
We have two
new additions to Merrychase: Gladys Politis who Gus brought home
from Aiken, South Carolina, a very sweet mountain fiest, and Tank
Cherner a wonderful English bulldog.
Tank is really enjoying life here hanging out with the gang at the
farm.
